The infurirating thing about this is the people who collect the data think they have a right to take it from you and use it for their purposes and they do it in deceptive ways. People's attitude needs to change concerning their personel data and they should begin to realize it belongs to the individual and someone should need permission to collect it.
The group gets its numbers from news stories. Hmmm, consider the source. Always make the U.S. military look bad. Do they think that people really take them seriously??

"Rare" Partial-Birth Abortion? Who Says?Twice the Times insists that "so-called partial-birth abortion" is rare, in a rush to minimize the potent issue. But does the Times know what it's talking about? An earlier story suggests confusion: "It is not known how often [PBA] is performed in the United States, but its use is limited to the latter weeks of the second trimester. Even then, it is not always the procedure doctors choose. In fact, it is practiced very rarely." Got that?--
U.S. "Restricting Its Citizens' Rights" for Security's SakeRichard Bernstein puffs up Europe's superior civil liberty sensibility: "From the 9/11 attacks through the Madrid bombings, Europeans have refused to sacrifice civil liberties in the fight against terrorism, sharply criticizing the United States for restricting its citizens' rights for the sake of security. Even with the London attacks, there is little indication that this philosophical divide is narrowing." What "restrictions" does he mean?

Suspected Spain al-Qaida Leader Beaten (AP)
AP - Inmates on Friday beat up a suspected al-Qaida cell leader jailed on charges he helped plot the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States, breaking his jaw, nose and a tooth and injuring one of his eyes, Spanish officials said.
Police Snipers Track Al Qaeda Suspects
Multiculturalism battles with the survival instinct, as Police snipers track al-Qaeda suspects. (Hat tip: aaron.)
UNDERCOVER police sniper squads are tracking as many as a dozen Al-Qaeda suspects because security services fear they could be planning more suicide attacks, writes David Leppard.
The covert armed units are under orders to shoot to kill if surveillance suggests that a terror suspect is carrying a bomb and he refuses to surrender if challenged.
The deployment of the teams in the past week signals the huge “intelligence gap” that has opened up since the London bombings.
Police fear the suspects could be planning a further wave of attacks but do not have enough evidence to arrest them, or place them under the government’s new anti-terror control orders.
Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan police commissioner, warned last week that there was a “very strong possibility” of more terrorist bombings.
Scotland Yard and MI5 say there may be more “bomb factories”. However, officers admit that they have no idea which suspects could be planning the next attacks so they are deploying the sniper squads as an emergency measure.
A member of S019, Scotland Yard’s elite firearms unit, said: “These units are trained to deal with any eventuality. Since the London bombs they have been deployed to look at certain people.”
President Bush was in Denmark last week, and the usual suspects turned out to demonstrate against him. Some Danish bloggers organized a counter-demonstration to show their support for America and President Bush. Gateway Pundit, one of the best blogs out there, has the story, with photos. Note the "men in black" in the background:
The phenomenon of "democracy babes" has been noted world-wide, with Lebanon an especially notable example. Professor Reynolds has been assiduous about keeping up with the Democracy Babe story. He'll have to add Denmark to the list:

Well, we have the usual rant from the Dems that Karl Rove must be fired must be punished. Ah, but wait as they speak now Kerry, Hillary and the others Karl Rove has not been charged with anything and certainly has not been convicted of anything so where's the justice the Dems are alway seeking for everybody. But, appartantly none for a Republican.
The words that a reasonable, rational man has to describe something like the
terrorist bombing in London do not exists. It is a crime against humanity.
It is a war crime and those who perpetrate these deeds are cowards. Their
justification for the deed falls false at whatever God's altar they may
petition for validity.
Terrorism hasn't any history of being victorious in its goals. Society will
not surrender, will not capitulate, will not falter, will not run, will not
negotiate.
The deeds done dirt cheap will only strengthen the resolve of those that are
targeted and they will eventually strike back in ways that will punish those
who are even remotely connected to the enemy. The Muslim world must condemn
and work to stop the terrorists amongst them. They haven't any other choice
or they risk becoming viewed as giving aid and comfort to our enemies. If
they remain silent and take no action then this condemns them to that
destiny and it is not holy.
